Footwear Alterations
A structurally sound shoe that does not fit right is just as useless as a worn-out one. We handle all kinds of fit, comfort, and structural modifications.
Precision Stretching: Width, toe box, instep, or boot calf stretched using professional equipment and leather-relaxing conditioning compounds. Typically gains up to a half size of comfortable breathing room.
Boot Shaft Alterations: Too tight around the calf? Too loose? Too tall? We can stretch the shaft, take it in, add leather or elastic panels, shorten the height, or add a zipper for easy entry - all in-shop.
Heel Height Modification: Slight height added to soles or heel bases for a more comfortable or elevated stance. Heels can also be slightly shortened. Possibilities depend on the shoe's construction - we advise first.
Tongue, Counter & Collar Repair: The internal structure of a shoe can break down invisibly. We rebuild heel counters, replace worn collars (the rim above the heel), and reconstruct collapsed tongues - so the shoe holds its shape properly again.

Our artisans will then get to work on your item. Once the restoration is complete, we will collect payment for the repair and the return shipping fee, then safely ship your renewed leather goods back to your shared address.

Absolutely. Zipper replacement on tall boots - equestrian or fashion - is one of our most requested services. We open the seam, install a heavy-duty, color-matched YKK zipper, and stitch it back using the original stitch holes, so the repair is virtually invisible.

We install protective rubber sole guards - also called half-soles. We sand down a millimeter of the factory leather, then apply an ultra-thin, textured rubber grip that adds traction and protects the original leather. Color-matched, including Louboutin red.

Yes. Real leather has natural elasticity. We use professional stretching equipment and leather-relaxing compounds to stretch the toe box width, raise the instep, or expand boot calf shafts - typically gaining up to a half size of comfortable room.

Yes. Squeaking is almost always caused by friction between internal layers - usually the insole rubbing on the midsole, or adhesive that has separated and is allowing movement. We open, diagnose, fix, and reseal. Most squeaky shoe jobs take one to two days.

While our specialty is stitched footwear - Goodyear welt and Blake stitch - we do offer professional resoling and regluing for modern molded soles, hiking boots, and premium sneakers. We clean all old, oxidized factory adhesive and apply Barge cement under heat and pressure for a permanent bond.
