In the overwhelming majority of cases, leather repair is worth it. Quality leather - on furniture, in car interiors, on saddles, and on leather goods -is built to last decades. Replacing it costs 3-10x more than repairing it, produces landfill waste, and often results in inferior replacement materials. Our Restore, Don't Replace philosophy is not marketing. It is the honest answer: a professionally repaired leather piece is stronger at the repaired point than it was before the damage, and it will outlast any replacement. The only case where replacement makes more sense than repair is when leather is so extensively damaged across its entire surface that restoration cost exceeds 70–80% of replacement cost. We will tell you that upfront if it applies.

Our Leather Repair & Restoration Services
We offer a comprehensive range of leather repair services -from quick, same-day fixes to full multi-week restorations. Every repair is assessed individually, quoted transparently, and executed by our own craftsmen from start to finish.
No outsourcing. No shortcuts.
-
Broken, seized, or worn-out zippers are one of the most common - and most fixable - leather bag problems. We replace zippers on handbags, shoulder bags, clutches, wallets, luggage, and jackets using YKK and equivalent quality hardware matched to the original in size, color, and mechanism.
We also replace snaps, rivets, magnetic clasps, turn-locks, D-rings, and carabiner clips. If it fastens, we can fix it.
-
Cracked, broken, or fraying straps and handles compromise both the look and structural integrity of your bag. We repair existing straps where possible reinforcing stress points, re-stitching anchor points, and conditioning the leather back to flexibility. When damage is too extensive, we craft replacement straps from matching or complementary leather using original hardware where possible.
We work on all strap types: single and double handles, adjustable crossbody straps, chain-and-leather combos, and backpack-style shoulder straps.
-
Dirt, oil, salt stains, and neglect dry leather out and accelerate cracking. Our professional leather cleaning service removes surface and embedded grime using pH-balanced, leather-safe cleaners - followed by a deep conditioning treatment that restores moisture, suppleness, and flexibility to the hide.
This service is often the starting point for more complex repairs and is also available as a standalone maintenance treatment for bags that are structurally sound but look tired. Regular conditioning extends the life of leather goods by years. -
Faded, scuffed, or unevenly worn leather loses its visual appeal long before it loses its structural integrity. Our color restoration service uses professional- grade leather dyes and pigments to match and restore faded areas, even out color inconsistencies, and refresh the finish of worn pieces.
We can restore original color, darken to a complementary shade, or - for clients who want a full transformation - re-dye an entire piece in a new color. All color work is finished with a protective sealant to extend longevity.
-
Broken or unraveling stitching isn't just cosmetic - it's a structural failure that will get worse without intervention. We re-stitch seams, reinforce stress points, and replace decorative topstitching using thread matched to the original in weight, color, and twist direction.
Common stitching repairs include corner seam splits, handle-to-body attachment points, gusset failures, and zip-line stitching. We use hand-stitching techniques for repairs on fine goods and machine stitching for structural work where durability is the priority.
-
A worn, torn, or stained interior lining makes a beautiful bag unpleasant to use. We remove and replace interior linings on handbags, tote bags, clutches, and wallets - using premium fabric linings matched to the original in weight and texture or upgraded to a material of your choice.
Lining replacement is also an opportunity to add or modify interior organization: adding card slots, pocket dividers, or D-ring attachments for keyholders.
-
Our most comprehensive repair offering. Full reconditioning combines cleaning, conditioning, structural repair, color restoration, hardware replacement, and re-stitching into a single end-to-end service designed to bring a heavily worn piece back as close to original condition as the leather will allow.
This service is ideal for heirloom pieces, vintage finds, and high-value designer goods that deserve more than surface-level care. We'll assess the piece, outlineexactly what's involved, and provide a full itemized quote before any work begins.
